Grant and Program Specialist

The Grant and Program Specialist will training coordinator will provide general and specific ongoing grants and contract management and program support to the Housing Assistance Council (HAC) Finance and Administration Division and Management Team. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: grant and contract analysis and understanding (scope of work, timeline, deliverables); maintaining program documentation; assisting with management of program reporting databases; timely delivery of monthly and quarterly reports, including coordinating report and contract related issues with field staff and subcontractors; assisting Division Directors, Regional, and Program Managers with contract budgets and coordination of financial reports; and maintaining auditable program file archive. Training Coordinator

The training coordinator will work closely with the TAT Division director, TAT staff, and other HAC staff to plan and implement HAC's training programs and develop its resources. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is able to take initiative and present new ideas and approaches to undertaking HAC's training events and meeting HAC's training goals. The person must be flexible and easy going and work well under pressure. The person must be detail oriented and juggle multiple tasks effectively. The person must be willing to persist at a task to see it through completion and consistently meet deadlines. Director, Technical Assistance and Training (posted 03/08)

The Director, Technical Assistance and Training develops, organizes, coordinates and implements programs and initiatives to improve the housing conditions of the rural poor through education, technical assistance, training and loan fund assistance to nonprofit organizations, government agencies and others throughout rural America with a focus on serving high need areas and populations. S/he performs a variety of tasks relative to solving the rural housing problems of rural low- and moderate-income persons based on a thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local housing programs and stakeholders; an understanding of nonprofit capacity; and knowledge of the housing development process.
