Hurricane Katrina Housing Internet Repository: www.hurricanehousing.net
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency have now established www.hurricanehousing.net as the internet repository for Hurricane Katrina available housing units. This new website currently allows housing providers to list their available units. Over the Labor Day weekend a search engine for victims to locate housing will be added. All vacant units that have previously been submitted to Private.Sector@dhs.gov and www.swern.gov have been accounted for, so please do NOT submit duplicates to this new web portal.
