Hurricanes Katrina and Rita Information

The Housing Assistance Council’s thoughts and prayers are with the survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita with the many others who are assisting them and helping to rebuild communities. As always, HAC is prepared to provide information and referral services to help rural communities identify the tools and resources needed to recover from this disaster. DISASTER GUIDE FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES LEFT DEVASTATED BY HURRICANE KATRINA

Picking Up the Pieces: A Guide to Restoring Rural Housing and Communities after Hurricane Katrina , published by HAC, is available here in PDF format, updated September 13, 2005. The guide explains federal and state temporary and long term resources for rebuilding housing after Hurricane Katrina, and how to find local assistance.
